Fuerteventura
Fuerteventura is the least developed of the main Canary
Islands. Even the busy holiday resort areas are quiet
by comparison to those at Gran Canaria. Most of the
island inland is deserted rock while the coastal areas
are largely undeveloped and kept in their beautiful
natural state.
Naturism
Naturists use virtually all of the beaches on the
island to some extent. It is only the busier town beaches,
which tend to be considered non-naturist. Naturists
tend to use the out-of-town beaches such as the lagoon
waters at El Cotillo, the dune backed beaches of Corralejo,
and the vast stretch of coastline known as Sotavento.
Beach naturism is not segregated at Fuerteventura. Consequently
every year, thousands of unwary non-naturist travellers
stumble across naturism purely by accident and many
of them return to this island year after year to enjoy
their own holidays as nature intended
